HALTEC SELECT - TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT

Roof shape and hall construction

SELECT steel building constructions offer extraordinarily wide scope with spans of up to 40.0 m, side heights of up to 12.0 m and snow loads of over 4.0 kN/m². Your steel building is designed according to your wishes - and customised precisely in terms of length, width, height and equipment.

Roof shapes

The decision on the roof shape depends primarily on visual and economic factors. HALTEC offers various roof shapes and provides individual advice to help you achieve the ideal design for your hall.

Saddle roof

The most economical and therefore most common variant in hall construction are saddle roof halls. A roof pitch of 10° is ideal. Other roof pitches are possible on request.

Special features:

  • generally optimal from a structural point of view and therefore the most cost-effective
  • uncomplicated roof covering and sealing
  • External drainage
  • tension cable in the eaves to save material

Pent roof

Pent roof buildings are often chosen for visual reasons. This roof shape has particular advantages in combination with photovoltaic systems. With smaller spans and lower loads, a pent roof can also be the most cost-effective solution.

Special features:

  • uncomplicated roof covering and waterproofing
  • external drainage
  • ideal for large photovoltaic systems when facing south
  • less economical for wide halls

Multi-bayed saddle roof

SELECT steel buildings can also be designed with multiple bays to realise widths of over 40.0 m. The individual areas can be subdivided with partition walls if required.

Special features:

  • very large hall complexes possible
  • slender steel construction thanks to intermediate supports
  • internal columns interrupt the usable area
  • drainage via intermediate gutter in the roof valley

Flat roof

Thanks to a wide range of design options, modern flat-roofed halls are in demand not only for their functionality. Innovative flat roof constructions turn steel building constructions with flat roofs into architecturally appealing structures.

Special features:

  • aesthetically pleasing
  • roof greening possible
  • roof structure with more complex waterproofing
  • usually the most expensive variant

STAHLFLEX H-Hall and L-Hall - Flexibility with system

HALTEC works with two steel building constructions: H-hall and L-hall. The most economical hall construction always results from the right combination of length, width, height and the regional snow and wind loads. Depending on your requirements, one of the systems will optimise your desired hall, because saving on materials always means saving on costs. Only as much hall as necessary.

H-hall construction

For simpler, smaller halls. Main frame (1) made of IPE-steel girders with purlins and wall transoms (2) made of hollow sections. These are mounted between the main frames. One advantage of this construction method is the larger usable area in the hall.

L-hall construction

For more complex large halls and high load requirements. Main frame (1) made of IPE-steel girders with purlins and wall transoms (2) made of lightweight profiles. These are mounted in front of the main frames.
