Storage roofing for a waste disposal company

Protection class 1 | roofed. The proper warehousing of new waste bins had been a major problem for a waste disposal company from Kassel for a long time - the weather sometimes caused major damage to the stored goods. HALTEC was able to remedy the situation with a temporary building that could be realised quickly.

Space gain
300 m²

Width
15.00 m

Length
20.00 m

Side height
4.40 m

Ridge height
6.41 m

Snow load
1.15 kN/m²

Stored on a raised outdoor area of the waste disposal company, the new waste bins are waiting to be delivered to the residents of Kassel. Without protection, the waste bins were previously completely at the mercy of the weather, which led to considerable damage in some cases. The high stacks of bins filled up with water when it rained, making them difficult to move, and it was particularly hard in winter when some of the bins froze over. To prevent further damage to the stored goods, the waste disposal company decided in favour of a 300 m² storage canopy from HALTEC.

Robust hall construction for greater safety

The robust bolted construction in a 2.50 m grid was particularly important to the client for the new HALTEC BASIC canopies with protection class 1. This enabled the company to ensure that the canopies could safely withstand the sometimes stormy winds on the hill and the increased snow load. The new aluminium warehouse roofing was installed for permanent use in the future within just two days - a great achievement by HALTEC!

Fire protection requirements met with flying colours

Due to the proximity to the neighbouring building, special fire protection requirements had to be met for the new hall construction. However, this was no problem for HALTEC - instead of a tarpaulin in the hall roof, a hard roof was realised. The trapezoidal profiles not only protect the roofed hall area, but also its immediate surroundings from flashover caused by flying sparks.

Protected loading and unloading zone

Thanks to an eaves height of 4.40 m, lorries can easily drive under the warehouse roof for loading and unloading.

Robust trapezoidal sheet metal roof

For fire protection reasons, the roof was clad with hard roofing made of trapezoidal profiles to prevent flying sparks from spreading to the neighbouring building.

Stable in high wind and snow loads

With a grid of 2.50 metres, maximum stability is guaranteed - the storage canopy can easily withstand the sometimes increased wind and snow loads.

Foundation-free anchoring

Thanks to the anchoring method with soil nails, the client was able to dispense time-consuming and cost-intensive fixing with foundation work in advance.

Well advised. HALTEC.
