Temporary building for warehousing chemicals
Protection class 3 | condensation-protected. A manufacturer of chemicals was urgently looking for a quick storage solution for its hazardous substances. The focus here was on safe and dry storage. The new BASIC temporary building met the customer's requirements across the board.
With a side height of 5.0 metres, the hall offers plenty of space for storing hazardous materials. The hall construction was anchored to on-site concrete foundations using dowels. The strip foundation offers two advantages: It offers protection in the event of chemical spillages and is cheaper to produce than point foundations, for example.
In the event of fire, two skylight domes with SHEV function ensure smoke and heat extraction. In addition, interior tarpaulins protect the goods from dripping condensation. A crash barrier at the corner of the hall protects the façade from collision damage when manoeuvring in the yard.
The company deliberately opted for a BASIC temporary building made of aluminium, as it can be delivered much faster than an individually planned steel building. The aluminium construction was technically prepared in such a way that the trapezoidal profile cladding can be completely replaced by sandwich elements at a later date.
