"With the vehicle halls from HALTEC, we can now handle our operations much more efficiently than we ever could in the old property," says Michael Wüst, local representative at THW Freising. The local branch of the THW has been in favour of modern accommodation for years. The technical relief organisation has now had a hall complex built by HALTEC to protect its vehicles from the weather.

The hall construction consists of a

  • 597 m² insulated vehicle hall with workshop and a 280 m²
  • 280 m² non-insulated garage with carport.

The tight time frame was a major challenge for everyone involved. The vehicle halls had to be erected in the shortest possible time and be ready for occupation by a fixed date. Thanks to efficient work processes, many years of experience and well-rehearsed assembly teams, the hall construction was handed over to the client on time.

Large double doors in the vehicle halls make manoeuvring in the halls easier. A special highlight is the diesel extraction system. It collects the exhaust fumes directly at the exhaust pipe of the starting lorries and directs them outside via a pipe system.

For special protection: the steel construction of the small hall is hot-dip galvanised. In order to fulfil fire protection requirements, the supporting structure of the large vehicle hall was also given an F30 fire-protection coating. The sandwich elements used also fulfil the special sound insulation requirements of the licensing authority. The achievement of the specified values was confirmed by an acoustic analysis.

The new property offers the technical relief organisation significantly better working conditions. The function-specific equipment of the vehicle hall contributes significantly to saving energy and makes this property a durable and sustainable building. Thanks to customised planning and plenty of design freedom with the SELECT product range, this client has found the perfect vehicle hall for his needs.

Generous amount of space

The new accommodation is perfectly tailored to the operational situation and offers space for numerous vehicles and their maintenance.

Functional vehicle hall

The emergency vehicles are protected from the weather in the vehicle hall. Training courses can also be held inside and outside the hall.

Simple hall entrances

Large double doors facilitate manoeuvring in the hall with large vehicles. They open and close conveniently at the touch of a button using a radio remote control.

Functional workspace

A workshop is located at the rear of the vehicle hall so that maintenance and repairs can be carried out in-house.

Perfect complement

The smaller, non-insulated vehicle hall is used to store goods and canopy small emergency vehicles.

Practical dowel anchoring on plinth foundation

To protect the steel construction of the hall from moisture and de-icing salt, the supports of the large hall were dowelled to raised plinth foundations.

Well advised. HALTEC.
