Vehicle hall for a local DLRG group
The local DLRG group in Quakenbrück has created optimum conditions for its voluntary work with the construction of a new rescue and training centre. HALTEC supplied the perfect vehicle hall for this - functional, energy-efficient and architecturally customised for the DLRG.
The direct connection of the SELECT steel building to the solidly built clubhouse means that the emergency forces can reach their vehicles particularly quickly in the event of an emergency. Large industrial sectional gates with radio remote control make it possible to move out quickly. To ensure safety at all times, even in strong winds, the hall's statics were designed so that all gates can be open at the same time. A small but important detail when planning vehicle halls with many large gates.
Well thought out down to the last detail
The insulated building envelope and an energy-saving floor slab ensure pleasant temperatures all year round - an important factor for the operational readiness of the vehicles and the working environment of the volunteers. A statically considered additional roof load made it possible to install an exhaust extraction system directly on the steel structure. A large row of windows in ridge with SHEV function and an escape door for the safe movement of people ensure good visibility and safety. The coloured design of the sandwich panels echoes the appearance of the DLRG and gives the building its distinctive character.
