Temporary vehicle hall for a fire brigade
Protection class 4 | partly insulated. A closed bridge over a railway line posed a serious problem for the Budenheim fire brigade: vehicles could no longer reach the scene of an emergency in time. An additional temporary vehicle hall from HALTEC was the solution.
The municipality of Budenheim is divided by a railway line that can only be crossed via a single bridge. When this bridge had to be renovated, the direct route to the other side was blocked for the fire brigade. In the event of an emergency, it would have been necessary to take major detours, which would have been absolutely time-critical. To ensure that the emergency services were able to operate on the other side at all times, the municipality decided to temporarily set up a second fire station in the form of a BASIC temporary building. Built next to a school, the temporary vehicle hall offers space for two emergency vehicles - and thus ensures operational readiness in all districts.
Well thought out down to the last detail
The equipment fulfils all the requirements of day-to-day fire service operations:
- large roller shutter gates for large emergency vehicles
- translucent PVC roof tarpaulins for daylight inside
- LED lights for operation in the dark
- Light thermal insulation for frost-free vehicles
- A mobile heater as additional frost protection
- Interior tarpaulins insulate the roof and protect the vehicles against condensation
Quick help - long-term benefits
Only 7 weeks after the order was placed, the hall was already completed and could be used by the fire brigade. As soon as the bridge renovation has been completed, the hall will be dismantled and used as a warehouse elsewhere. This proves that the HALTEC modular design is a flexible, economical and particularly sustainable space solution.
