Saddle roof hall for fleet & stock items
HALTEC realizes hall systems throughout Germany and Europe – including in the Lower Saxon town of Wolfenbüttel. Here the company GS-Gabelstapler Service GmbH was looking for an efficient gable roof hall for their large vehicle fleet of sales and rental vehicles. A weather-protected and safe shelter of the forklift trucks as well as other stored goods had the highest priority. New space should had to be created quickly and economically – no problem for HALTEC!
After moving to the new company location in Wolfenbüttel in 2017, it became clear to GS-Gabelstapler that the storage facilities for the fleet had to be expanded. Forklifts, which can be bought, rented or leased, form the basis of the company's business and therefore need a secure carport.
An efficient solution was needed. HALTEC hit the mark with its offer of a gable roof hall, which was at the same time quickly available and economical! In the created hall mainly rental forklifts are placed as well as forklift requiring repair. In addition, it provides enough space for additional shelves for storing various small parts and accessories that are needed for repairs.
- 750 m² roofed and storage area available after a few days
- translucent roof tarpaulins for a bright hall
- condensation protection – stored goods protected from moisture from above
- aluminum construction and system design for short delivery time and fast assembly
- wall covering made of trapezoidal profiles as theft protection
Before the hall construction work began, it was already clear that the gable roof hall would be used permanently. For example, the assembly area of GS-Gabelstapler trucks was prepared in advance – concrete foundations poured and paved the hall floor. The hall constructed on it was fastened by the fitters with dowels firmly in the concrete foundation for permanent use by the customer.
GS-Gabelstapler has deliberately opted for a condensed water protected temporary building, i. e. the additionally attached interior tarpaulins under the tarpaulin covered roof lead the resulting condensation to the outside. Drip water on the inside part of the roof tarpaulin, which could wet the stored goods and permanently damage them, is thus effectively counteracted. The local wind and snow load were also considered for the hall construction. The static calculation of the hall was carried out according to the norm DIN EN 1991.
