Production hall construction for a coffee roasting plant

The Swiss-based coffee manufacturer Oetterli has much more space with its new flat roof hall. All areas of the company, from administration and production to warehousing and shipping, are now united under one roof.

Space gain
974 m²

Width
25.60 m

Length
42.13 m

Side height
7.92 m

Ridge height
7.92 m

Snow load
1.01 kN/m²

"The processes are much simpler," says Managing Director Bernhard Mollet. Thanks to the new production hall construction, the company's divisions are perfectly integrated and every workflow has been carefully considered in the hall construction - from the delivery and warehousing of the green coffee to the roastery and production through to the dispatch of goods and on-site sales in the factory shop.

The different climate control systems were also taken into account. The green coffee delivered is best stored at cool temperatures. Partition walls and a high-speed gate ensure a constantly cool room temperature without having to make compromises in other areas of the hall. Sales and office rooms therefore have a pleasant, comfortable temperature regardless of the storage area.

Right from the planning phase of the production hall construction, Managing Director Mollet was keen to realise the project on time and within a fixed budget. His expectations were not disappointed; HALTEC's price-performance ratio is impressive and convinced him across the board.

Individual space gain

The customised hall comes in the form of a pentagonal flat roof building with many individual fixtures and fittings.

Refrigerated green coffee storage

In production halls, green coffee is stored at cool temperatures. Partition walls made of sandwich elements divide the different climate zones.

Foil high-speed gate

The passage from the cool green coffee warehouse to the much warmer roastery is realised with a high-speed gate. It contributes to energy savings, optimises the flow of traffic and improves the indoor climate.

Protected entrance and delivery zone

A large canopy protects the entrance area with goods delivery. Goods deliveries should arrive at Oetterli protected from the weather and undamaged.

Practical access

Incoming and outgoing goods are handled via the electric industrial sectional gate with window sections, integrated wicket door and high-speed drive. This ensures little heat loss, especially in winter.

Heat protection through external venetian blinds

All windows are fitted with electric external venetian blinds. They allow plenty of daylight into the hall, but at the same time create privacy from the outside and prevent overheating and glare.
