SELECT Reference 078

Multi-purpose building for the German Red Cross

The DRK was specifically looking for a hall that would fulfil the requirements for several purposes at once. With a steel hall, HALTEC was able to combine not only the vehicles, but also a workshop and a warehouse under one roof within a very short space of time.

Space gain
1,650 m²

Width
27.50 m

Length
60.00 m

Side height
5.25 m

Ridge height
7.50 m

Snow load
1.29 kN/m²

HALTEC realised a SELECT steel building with an area of 1,650 m², which could be provided much faster than a comparable hall in solid construction thanks to the modular design.

The 25 emergency vehicles used for training can be stored dry and protected in the large hall. In addition, a workshop area for repairing vehicles and equipment as well as a warehouse could be accommodated.

The new building is now also home to the "rapid response unit" and a rescue dog squadron.
