Potato warehouse with air-conditioned storage area

In order to optimise its own potato storage, an agricultural business from the Rhineland-Palatinate has opted for a potato storage hall from hall expert HALTEC. The customised planning and equipment of the hall was particularly important for the potato process.

With the hall from HALTEC, the agricultural company found the ideal solution to realise all the processes that a potato has to go through from sorting to warehousing in one hall. All of the customer's requirements for their new potato storage hall could be customised. In order to clearly subdivide the areas, the hall was divided into smaller areas using partition walls.

Customised planning of the potato storage hall

If ideal conditions are to be created, potatoes must be stored in a well-tempered area. Sandwich panels were used for the roof and wall cladding. These provide good protection at both very low and very high temperatures. In addition, HALTEC considered wall openings in the hall façade during the planning stage, in which air conditioning units could later be installed. Additional storage space for temperature-insensitive goods was realised on the outside of the hall by means of a large canopy.
