Steel building with crane runway for a forklift professional

A company specialising in forklift trucks has had an individually planned SELECT steel building built by HALTEC at its new company site in Lower Saxony. The hall efficiently combines workshop and warehouse, thus helping to optimise work processes.

Space gain
1,500 m²

Width
25.00 m

Length
60.00 m

Side height
7.10 m

Ridge height
9.30 m

Snow load
0.85 kN/m²

A suitable working environment with functional tools is needed for satisfied employees and work processes that mesh optimally. If you invest cleverly, you can achieve a lot!
For HALTEC, the only option was a SELECT steel building that could optimally fulfil all of the customer's wishes:

  • 1,500 m² steel hall in a customised design for permanent use
  • Thermal insulation with 100 mm thick sandwich elements for low heating costs
  • 38.0 m row of windows in ridge on the roof for plenty of daylight in the hall with hatches for air extraction - additionally equipped with smoke and heat extraction system to comply with fire protection requirements
  • 10 tonne indoor crane for easy movement of heavy loads
  • Insulated gable wall partition with industrial sectional gate to separate the workshop from the warehouse and save energy costs
  • Protected hall exteriors thanks to a large canopy and an additional trailing roof

Forklift trucks and other vehicles in need of repair are serviced and made fit again in the workshop. The time-consuming work on the heavy vehicles is heavy labour - the 25.0 m long crane runway can provide support here.

The storage area of the hall is primarily used for the temporary storage of new vehicles for sale. This is separated from the workshop by a gable wall partition. People and goods move between the areas via a large industrial sectional gate plus an adjacent door.

As a practical extension to the storage area, the customer also built a dowel-anchored BASIC temporary building with HALTEC.

Everything under one roof

The 1,500 m² steel building offers sufficient space for the workshop and warehouse.

Moving heavy loads with ease

Easier work with the crane support - heavy loads can be lifted and set down again precisely at the touch of a button.

Protected warehouse

New vehicles are stored here, safe from theft and the elements, until they are collected or delivered.

Spatially separated

A gable wall partition gives the hall structure and separates the warehouse from the workshop.

Lots of natural light

The 38.0 metre long strip light on the hall roof provides daylight in the hall and integrated hatches allow stale air to be extracted.

Protected outdoor area

To protect the vehicles parked outside the hall, the hall was realised with large canopies.

Customised equipment

A total of seven electric industrial sectional gates and doors were installed in the hall. There are also 11 windows in the hall façade.
