Canopy for a firewood retailer
Protection class 1 | roofed. A firewood supplier required additional sheltered storage space for its stock. However, rather than a fully enclosed hall, what was needed was an industrial canopy that would protect the wood from the elements whilst allowing it to dry naturally. HALTEC therefore constructed an open BASIC temporary building for this purpose.
A 10.00 x 15.00-metre BASIC temporary building, classified as protection class 1, was constructed for Brennholz Dieterle to serve purely as an industrial canopy. The translucent PVC tarpaulin roof reliably protects the firewood from rain and snow, whilst the open sides allow for constant air circulation. This protects the wood from damp and allows it to continue drying naturally.
Optimal storage conditions
The temporary building was anchored to a foundation prepared on-site using ground anchors and expands the firewood supplier’s existing storage area. At the same time, the additional roofed area improves workflows at the depot: tractors and lorries can deliver, manoeuvre and collect the firewood more easily. The result is a cost-effective shed solution that is precisely tailored to the business’s requirements.
Good air circulation is just as important for our firewood as protection from the rain. With the open industrial canopy, we have found exactly the right solution for our business.
