Double-bayed assembly hall for a mechanical engineering company

ETU GmbH has really taken off in recent years as an innovative company in the field of software solutions and automation technology. Control cabinets of various sizes are assembled on site and prepared for use in industry. Thinking ahead, the company has created a second mainstay in special machine construction for the robotics and handling sector, which is becoming increasingly important.

The growing new business area and the increasing demand for automation technology meant that the original company site became too small. The old company headquarters, a former car dealership, was literally bursting at the seams. There was only one solution - a completely new company location with more space had to be created. HALTEC's 1,440 m² SELECT assembly hall, a double-bayed steel building with a modular design, was a convincing choice from the beginning.

Double-bayed SELECT assembly hall realised exactly as required

The double-bayed building design proved to be a particularly economical construction. Thanks to the integrated intermediate supports in the centre of the hall, the steel construction is much slimmer. This also meant that the indoor crane could be much smaller and used for specific areas. The good price-performance ratio makes it clear that the double-bayed construction was exactly the right choice for ETU.

Another special achievement was the connection of the office building, which was built at the same time as the HALTEC assembly hall. A passage from the second floor of the building leads to the upper hall area and merges into a stairwell with integrated social rooms, which was specially constructed by the client. Coordination between HALTEC and the trades involved always worked smoothly - with a great result!
