Temporary buildings as arrival centres for refugees

Protection class 5 | fully insulated. The City of Munich's arrival centre urgently needed new premises to accommodate refugees. The challenge: over 1,000 m² of hall space was only to be used temporarily, but needed to be ready for use in the shortest possible time. BASIC temporary buildings for rent were the solution.

HALTEC supplied a total of eight customised temporary buildings in various sizes and equipment variants. It took just ten weeks from planning to completion of the halls. This extremely fast delivery time was possible thanks to the HALTEC modular system and the large stock held by the rental pool. The halls were opened immediately after completion.

The BASIC temporary buildings were anchored with ground pegs, allowing them to be dismantled almost without leaving any residue at the end of the rental period. The plan for this form of arrival centre is to give way to a permanent solution.
