Warehouse for grain

A farmer needed a new hall to store grain. The new HALTEC SELECT steel hall with a large, steep pent roof is ideal for direct attachment to the neighbouring silos.

In addition to the adjacent silos, the new hall roofs over further smaller silos. All silos are filled via the drive-over grain intake in the floor slab. To ensure that the inside of the hall always remains dry, sandwich panels were installed in the roof which prevent condensation.

The roof of the hall was specially designed as a large, steep pent roof so that a particularly efficient photovoltaic system could be installed later. The corresponding additional loads were already taken into account by HALTEC in the structural analysis.

Reference images and details

Efficient grain storage

The grain is stored both in the hall and in the adjoining silos.

Sensible use of space

Inside the hall, there are further silos that extend under the roof of the pent roof hall.

Thinking about the future

An efficient photovoltaic system can later be installed on the large pent roof with a 20° pitch.

Dry unloading

The grain receiving area, which can be driven over, is located in the hall.
