Warehouse building for chemicals
A producer of chemicals is using this building for secure and dry storage of its products.
The warehouse building for chemicals has a side height of 5.0 m, which provides plenty of space for storing hazardous materials. The hall structure was anchored with dowels on the concrete foundations provided by the customer. The strip foundation offers two benefits: It provides protection in the event of a chemical leak and it is cheaper to produce than individual footings, for example.
In the event of a fire, two dome rooflights with a natural smoke and heat ventilation system provide smoke extraction. Interior tarpaulins also protect the goods against drips of condensation. As the customer wanted to use the building with protection class 3 in the long term, purchasing it was the ideal method of financing. A crash barrier at the corner of the building protects the façade against damage from vehicles manoeuvring in the yard.
The customer specifically chose a standard hall made from aluminium as this is available much more quickly than custom-planned steel buildings. The aluminium structure was engineered so that the entire trapezoidal cladding can be replaced with sandwich elements at a later time.
Perfectly housed: The BASIC hall keeps the goods safe and dry.
Vehicle access is provided by the electric rolling gate in the gable wall.
Vehicle collision protection: The crash barrier is anchored with ground pegs and prevents collision damage from vehicles.
The BASIC hall is anchored permanently on the concrete foundations with dowels.
Smoke extraction and natural light: Dome rooflights with a natural smoke and heat ventilation system and HALTEC fall-through protection.
The hall is neatly finished at the foundations with a folded edge.
