Simple warehouse building
The aim was to create a building to provide cost-effective storage for cardboard packaging. HALTEC constructed this simple warehouse building for long-term use for a cardboard packaging producer from the German region of Thuringia.
Protection against condensation was particularly important for the customer so that the paper and cardboard products would be kept dry. The steel building with protection class 5 was clad accordingly with 60-mm thick sandwich elements. Three large roller gates with a remote-control mechanism, four doors and five dome rooflights round off this 2044-m² warehouse building perfectly. In the event of a fire, the natural smoke and heat ventilation system provides smoke extraction. The HALTEC fall-through protection ensures greater safety during maintenance work on the roof. The protection is permanently attached to the underside of the dome rooflights. Coloured flashings in sapphire blue provide an eye-catching highlight at the four corners of the building.
The simple warehouse building is anchored with ground pegs, which were inserted directly into the ground. This saved the client from having to produce expensive concrete foundations. Bitumen sheeting on the floor forms a low-cost finish to the building.
The building is over 80 m long and provides plenty of space in which to store goods.
A total of three roller gates with a remote-control mechanism provide vehicle access to the building.
The emergency exit door next to the roller gate ensures a safe route for pedestrians and goods.
Short distances: The new warehouse building was constructed immediately adjacent to the existing building.
No expensive foundations: The simple warehouse building is anchored to the floor with ground pegs.
The border with the floor was made using cost-effective bitumen sheeting.
