This production building belonging to a HALTEC client is the most state-of-the-art sanding and varnishing plant in Switzerland. This production building from HALTEC has considerably improved the company's workflows at its new and conveniently situated premises. The highly insulating sandwich panels combined with the heat recovery system for the varnishing line make the production building sustainable and energy efficient. Numerous custom design features from HALTEC SELECT have given this client the perfect solution for maximising space.

Large interior space

Interior space for the production line

At almost 10 m high, the production building provides sufficient space for the cutting-edge sanding and varnishing line and the heat recovery system. HALTEC designed the production building especially to meet the client's needs and adapted its construction to the complex sanding and varnishing system. Other function-specific fixtures and fittings from HALTEC SELECT ensure that this customer is well-equipped for the future.

Large canopies on the building

Large canopies on three sides of the production building protect entrance areas from the wind and the weather. This ensures that vehicles stay dry when loading and unloading, and that various goods can be safely stored outside the production building on a temporary basis. Furthermore, the large self-supporting canopies give the production building its own unique look.

Building façade with multiple windows

HALTEC building façade with windows

The 160-mm-thick sandwich panels have been fitted with a large number of windows, which allow lots of natural light into the production building. All the windows feature tilt and turn fittings to enable the interior to be ventilated as required. Microlined sandwich panels with hidden fixings create a clever visual effect in the production building.

Electric shutters

Window shutters

The production building designed by HALTEC has almost 40 windows in 5 different sizes. Each window is fitted with an external shutter (blind) with an electric drive. Shutters offer numerous advantages when it comes to creating optimal lighting for the interior. They let in as much natural light as possible while stopping passers-by from looking in – as well as preventing overheating and glare. They are also a very popular design element for building façades.

Maintain entrance with aluminium door

HALTEC building entrance door

A double aluminium door enhances the impressive entrance area of the production building. The door is fully glazed to allow plenty of natural light into the building and make the corridor and staircase brighter. In the event of fire, the door can be opened from the inside at any time using the EN 179-compliant emergency exit lock. The overhead door closer pushes the door back into the lock automatically.

Industrial sectional gates

Industrial sectional gate to the HALTEC production building

Five large industrial sectional gates with window sections provide access to the production building from three sides. Ceiling runners move the gates upwards and out of the working area. All the industrial sectional gates can be opened and closed conveniently at the touch of a button on the remote control.

Storeroom annex with pent roof

Annex to the building for storing hazardous materials

A large annex (approximately 23 m²) with pent roof has been built along one of the long sides of the production building. This is used for storing hazardous materials like paint and varnish in the correct conditions. For fire safety reasons, the sandwich panels have a non-flammable mineral fibre insulation core.

Floor connection

HALTEC building floor connection

The floor connection was designed to incorporate a gravel strip (implemented by the customer) running all the way around the building. Access routes and parking areas for lorries are paved.
