Production building
HALTEC provided this 2750-m² flat-roof factory steel building for a mechanical engineering firm in the German region of North Rhine-Westphalia. The factory steel building consists of two individual hall bays and is split into two areas by a dividing wall. Each hall bay is equipped with a crane track for a 12.5-t or 25-t crane. Thanks to the numerous design features from HALTEC SELECT, HALTEC provided this client with the perfect solution for additional space with this factory steel building.
Each hall bay in the factory steel building is just under 10.00 m high and provides plenty of space for the mechanical engineering firm, with a surface area of 1375 m². The 56.00-m long row of windows in the roof ridge allows natural light into the building and provides smoke extraction in the event of a fire with the natural smoke and heat ventilation system.
The dividing wall splits the factory steel building into two areas. A high-speed PVC gate with adjacent door links both hall bays with each other. The fast opening and closing speed of the high-speed gate practically eliminates any time spent waiting in front of the gate.
Vehicle access to the factory steel building is provided via sectional gates. The gates can be conveniently opened and closed at the touch of a button from a forklift using the remote-control mechanism.
Vertical rows of windows allow additional natural light into the factory steel building and provide a view of the outside world. Rows of windows are an ideal design element for attractive façades. The factory steel building is installed on a concrete base that runs all the way around the building and has a suitable connection for steel construction.
Rainwater is drained from the flat roof using external drainpipes to channel it into the sewer system. In the event of excessive amounts of water or a blockage, the adjacent emergency overflow ensures that water is still drained.
Each hall bay is equipped with a crane track for a 12.5-t or 25-t crane. Several of the factory steel building's supporting columns are designed to accommodate pillar slewing cranes with a jib length of 5.00 m and a load capacity of 2 t.
