A logistics building with 24 gates and a total length of over 120 m. With this extension, a shipping company from Baden-Württemberg is investing in 1266 m² of additional space gain for goods storage. The logistical challenge in this project was that 16 of the 24 gates were in constant use for daily operations during the construction phase. HALTEC overcame this using temporary buildings from their own facility, which served as a bypass during construction. With this logistics building, the shipping company has created an excellent facility and is very well positioned for the future.

Row of windows in façade

The logistics building was built as an extension to the existing building. A row of windows in the rear façade flood the building with natural light. In terms of fire prevention regulations, the row of windows in the façade is classified as a melt-out surface.

Gate sealing for docking station

All 24 gates of the logistics building have been sealed to ensure safe loading and unloading. The gate sealing also offers weather and draft protection and helps reduce energy consumption

Manually operated industrial sectional gates

The industrial sectional gates can easily be manually opened and closed. Built-in window sections provide a view of the outside. This allows the employee to see straight away whether a lorry is waiting in front of the logistics building. Thanks to the ceiling runners with rails guided along the roof, the gate section does not interfere with the work area.

120-metre-long hall canopy

A two-metre protruding canopy directly protects the docking stations in the outdoor area and gives the logistics building a unique look.

Dome rooflight with ventilation systems

HALTEC dome rooflight with natural smoke and heat ventilation

The dome rooflights on the logistics building provide a smoke outlet in the event of a fire. As well as filling the logistics building with natural light, they are equipped with a natural smoke and heat ventilation system. The dome rooflights can be opened at the touch of a button using the motorised opening mechanism. This allows warm air to escape from the building, especially in the summer.

Seamless floor connection

Concrete plinth as a foundation

The logistics building was permanently fixed using dowels in the concrete plinth constructed on site. A folded plate and sealing tape neatly finish off the bottom of the façade at the foundation. The sandwich panels are 100 mm thick and visibly screwed into the steel substructure.
