Industrial steel building
This flat-roof industrial steel building is used for plastic production and storage of goods. HALTEC has provided a manufacturer and retailer of technical plastic products from Baden-Württemberg with a custom solution for extra space with this impressive flat-roof industrial steel building. Numerous design features from HALTEC SELECT make this industrial steel building both functional and modern. The base slab with energy-saving underfloor heating creates a pleasant environment inside and adds to the individual character of this industrial steel building.
The customer has created a green roof on the flat roof. HALTEC took into account the additional roof load of 1.00 kN/m² that this would require in the structural calculations.
The rear section of the industrial steel building is being used to store goods. The flat roof and the side height of just under 9.00 m mean that high shelving racks can be installed to make full use of the space. The row of windows in the roof brings bright natural light into the building and, in the event of a fire, provides smoke extraction with the natural smoke and heat ventilation system.
A dividing wall splits the industrial steel building into two sections. The front part of the building is used for production, office spaces and a second floor. The suspended ceiling is made from a steel substructure with hollow pre-stressed concrete slabs.
4.00-m wide sectional gates provide vehicle access to the industrial steel building. The raised door guide allows the gate section to move straight upwards so that it out of the way of the work area. The sectional gates are convenient to open and close at the touch of a button using the remote-control mechanism.
A fully glazed aluminium door adds the finishing touch to the impressive entrance area of the industrial steel building. The two-leaf door is fully double-glazed.
Each of the large windows is fitted with an external shutter with electric drive. Shutters offer many options for optimal lighting of the interior. They let as much natural light as possible into the industrial steel building, but at the same time protect against visibility from the outside and prevent overheating and glare. They are also a very popular design element for building façades.
The customer took care of the interior fittings for the office rooms, kitchen, common areas and toilets.
