Flat-roofed warehouse building Switzerland
A tableware hire business from Switzerland has created plenty of space for expansion with the construction of this warehouse building at the company's new headquarters. Covering an area of 750 m², the flat-roofed warehouse building offers a generous amount of space for goods storage. It is almost 11 m high and connected to the existing building.
Thanks to the flat roof, almost the entire space of the warehouse building can be used for goods storage – up to just below the roof. Dome rooflights flood the warehouse building with natural light and provide a fast smoke outlet in the event of a fire.
Nothing stands in the way of growth. Usable empty areas offer plenty of space for placing additional high shelving units in the warehouse building.
The dome rooflights built into the flat roof provide ventilation. This tableware hire business makes good use of industrial dishwashers, so it is important that there is an outlet for warm, humid air. A natural smoke and heat ventilation system fulfils fire prevention requirements and provides a fast smoke outlet in the event of a fire. The fall-through protection, which was specially developed by HALTEC, fulfils requirements set out by German workplace regulations (ASR A2.1) and is certified by the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV).
The warehouse building was attached directly to the existing building to create one large, coherent unit for the client.
Dowels and concrete foundations permanently anchor this warehouse building.
The wind and rain detector on the roof of the warehouse building monitors the weather conditions. As soon as there is bad weather with wind and rain, the dome rooflights close automatically.
