An entrepreneur from the German region of Saxony has used this car showroom from HALTEC to turn his hobby into a career. Vintage models and more modern cars are displayed and sold in the building. The car showroom is designed with a large pent roof and features an impressive glass façade. The roof overhang gives the pent-roof building an appealing look. At the rear, a 120-m² workshop area has been added for maintaining, testing and repairing the exclusive vehicles.

The car showroom covers an area of over 400 m² and is used to display the vehicles, which include some exotic models. The glass façade allows a great deal of natural light into the car showroom and so helps to create a pleasant atmosphere. The base slab features energy-saving underfloor heating, which underlines the individual character of this car showroom.

The vehicles can be viewed from outside through the glass façade. A double entrance door is integrated in the centre. The glass façade with its height of 4.00 m and continuous length of 34.00 m is an ideal design element especially for this car showroom.

The customer took care of the interior fittings of the office, bar and raised gallery. An intermediate door provides direct access to the workshop area.

At the rear of the building, a 120-m² workshop area has been installed for maintaining, testing and repairing the exclusive vehicles. In the event of a fire, smoke is extracted through the row of windows and the dome rooflights, which have a natural smoke and heat ventilation system.

Vehicle access to the workshop is provided by two sectional gates with window sections. The wicket door integrated in the right-hand gate can also be used by pedestrians to enter the car showroom even when the gate is closed. The microlining of the sandwich panels with hidden fixings gives the car showroom an appealing look.

The building structure of the car showroom is mounted permanently on the energy-saving base slab with dowels. HALTEC designed the connections of the steel structure on the foundation to be "jointed". There is no need to encase the supports in concrete in the ground for this car showroom, which would drastically increase the cost of the foundations and groundwork.
